Genevieve De Santis inspired by the use of tactile fabrications combined with refined silhouettes and an element of streetwear aims to create a high end fashion line of comfortable yet luxurious clothing.
BEHIND THE BRAND
Designer Genevieve De Santis, initially from Melbourne, has always been drawn to the idea of creating a stronger fashion identity for Australia on an international basis.
Graduating from Whitehouse Institute of design, she has always experimented with fabric manipulation and creating new textures. De Santis is largely inspired by the notion of merging two contrasting concepts that can be communicated in a high fashion light.
Typically focusing on the design of luxury streetwear, De Santis attempts to demonstrate how streetwear can be brought into a high fashion space.
Mostly being inspired by cultures and history, De Santis focuses on creating her designs using simple silhouettes with a large emphasis on colour and texture.
Through her brand, De Santis aims to communicate a sense of positivity and positive change through the use of colour and environmentally friendly processes into luxury fashion.
